The new X570 platform offers a lot of feature upgrades such as PCI-Express 4.0 and a ton of connectivity. Board makers are now releasing the first details of their newly launched product lineups and we are bringing you a complete roundup of all the motherboards we grab a sight of during Computex 2019.
AMD X570 Motherboards For Ryzen 3000 CPUs Round-Up – AORUS, ASRock, ASUS, MSI & More
All motherboard makers have a range of X570 motherboards available for their customers. These range from high-end, enthusiast grade designs to the more budget-friendly series. We will start off with the pictures of these motherboards and update on the specifications as we get more details.
AORUS X570 Motherboard Lineup
AORUS is preparing a total of seven X570 motherboards, all of which are listed on their webpage along with the details. They are still missing a few pictures here and there but they have everything listed for their flagship X570 AORUS Xtreme part which is a beast of a product with 16 Phase VRM design, dual 8 pin connectors and a very nice design that includes a shrouded cover for the board itself and active fan cooling. There are no prices mentioned yet but we will try to get details when we visit the AORUS booth. ASUS X570 Motherboard Lineup
ASUS’s lineup was officially shown by AMD themselves during the Computex 2019 keynote and included three main motherboards, the ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII HERO, the PRIME X570 PRO, and the TUF Gaming X570-PLUS WiFi. However, ASUS has now launched various other motherboards which are positioned in their ROG, ROG STRIX, TUF Gaming, PRIME and Workstation lineups. AMD’s Next-Gen X570 Chipset – First Mainstream Platform To Support PCIe Gen 4, Feature Rich and Ready For Ryzen 3000 CPUs
As we saw with X470, there were a few features for the Ryzen 2000 series processors which were only supported by new motherboards such as Precision Boost Overdrive and XFR 2.0. There’s no doubt that AMD’s Zen 2 based Ryzen mainstream processor family would come with new features but the main highlight would be support for PCIe Gen4. The X570 platform will be an all PCIe Gen4 solution, which means this would most probably be the first consumer platform to feature support for the new PCIe standard.
That, however, doesn’t mean that AMD Ryzen 3000 series would only be compatible on X570 boards since just like last time, the new CPUs will be backward compatible with X470 & selected X370 boards too through BIOS updates.
